So Opponaughts, Do any of you have personalized plates on your rides? I just ordered some for my car.
Plate will read:
Whats your plate say?
.
.
.
.
If you didn’t guess right, plate says, “E Ticket Ride”

I don’t have personalized plates but we do have “Adopt a Greyhound” plates on the truck and “Support the Horse” plates on the Volvo. Probably going to get “Broncos Country” plates for the IROC.

I prefer to remain anonymous. Silver, nondescript wagon. Basic plates. Hard to remember....

Mine say AFROMAN. ;-)

I don’t have personalized plates but I have commercial plates. A basic business registration and anything that is remotely a hatchback or wagon can get commercial plates which allow you to park in yellow zones legally

I’m glad there’s nothing printed on the plate that could possibly screw anything up.

One day I’m going to get a Delorean with plates that say “RUN”.

We have personalized Hawkeye plates on my wife’s Flex, but I just have standard plates on my car, truck, and motorcycles.

Fun fact: Afroman is from my hometown. Used to see him driving around town in his Prowler years ago. I dunno if he still has the car or even still lives here anymore though.

I just moved from Ontario but they are like CAD $300 there. No thanks.

OMG!

Ewww!!! Mine cost $48 and is like $38 extra at reup. Its more for fancy printed plates cost $98 and $60 or something every year, so that wasn’t what I wanted.

Ontario really knows how to sodomize its drivers. $300 plates are ridiculous but insurance is the big problem here, or at least a bigger problem than it is elsewhere.

I have the plate “NANTCK” that happily resides on my 71 Land Rover. My mom has “ACK CRW” on her 2005 Expedition. Both of the cars live on Nantucket so that explains the meanings.

Here you go buddy. ;-)
You can see my CTS-V 6 piston brembos in these pictures with 4 piston rears. :-)
There’s my GTO.
I want to be able to post up my on thread, so I can officially introduce myself. lol

How do you like the brakes? Is it a nice upgrade? You car looks so clean. I need to do some work to mine to get it nice and perfect.

Very nice. Localized plates are neat

I do. Opponaut Dr. Zoidberg posted them
here
, near the bottom.

Literally everyone on Nantucket has a plate that has something to do with the island, but we only got the Nantck plate a few months ago. We were really surprised it was still available

Yup the plate I just ordered was taken a few years back, not any longer.

I have 150th anniversary Civil War plates, but they aren't personalized. The bottom reads “Save Our Battlefields.”

I do

I used to have this before it got recalled for being “inappropriate”... it got a
LOT
of attention.
And I just realized that I’ll soon have personalized plates on all of my vehicles. I think I’m that guy now. Uh oh.
The Mini says MINI, and the Party ST will say, um, PARTY ST. The bike has a sausage-themed license plate, because of course it does.

I love my brakes it is one of my favorite things I did. I will be changing the color of the Brembos when I change out the rotors. GTOs should have came with these from the factory. The install isn’t too bad, and it makes a huge difference. The factory brakes are inadequate for a car with that much power and weight. Thank you I need to wax it up again. It needs some more love to make it nice and perfect. I am trying to get some more parts and I will be done for a little while.
![]() 02/11/2016 at 16:21 |

Was it mostly a bolt up job? I think your rotor is on the wrong side, no?
![]() 02/11/2016 at 16:37 |
|
The rotors are going the correct direction. It is the way the manufacture marked, and the way they are supposed to go. The fronts are slotted G8 GXP/SS Camaro rotors, and the rears are C6 Z06/Grand Sport rotors that are drilled. Because slotted rear Z06 rotors were expensive.
The front is a simple bolt up job. Take of wheel, calipers, bracket, brake line. Put on new bracket, rotor, caliper, and 04 brake line. The rear is a little more involved, because of the hand/parking brake and you have to trim or remove the dust shield. I put on stainless brake lines since I had to use 04 fronts, I went ahead and got new ones. I am also using Motul Spec 5.1 brake fluid.
Here are the links for the brake brackets.
